Lou-Ann and Paul are closing the pool soon so they have invited the Shore Things to their place for a final walk (Saturday, 9:00 am), swim and coffee. Please let her know whether you can make it so there is enough caffeine and baked goodness for all. Ideal forecast so it will be a great opportunity to get in exercise (land and water based) and good company.

Saturday morning is the date, 8:00 is the time, and Loblaw’s is the place. Biidaasige Park on the schedule. We could rendezvous and carpool to the park parking. Weather bodes well.

I’ve heard back from and spoken to as many as possible about the island walk. While taking advantage of the free ferry is attractive, it seems that has led to much larger crowds. Line-ups are long and restaurant waits may be extended so perhaps it may be best to defer to September. More Shore Things may be in town to enjoy this as well, possibly for a sunset walk as we’ve done it in the past. We can exchange ideas at the Pool Party.
Thanks to Sharon and Ruth’s scouting, it looks like we can easily do a slightly off-site walk through Biidaasige Park soon. The western portion has recently opened so lots to explore. Free parking is available at Munition and Commissioners Street (we can also meet at Loblaw’s and shuttle over in a”carpool” mode). Thinking this could be an interesting walk on the 22nd?
Come on out to L@8 for an appetite-developing walk. There will likely be a healthy amount to replenish spent calories at the splash 💦!
