Birthday Wishes
A happy birthday to Cynthia, who celebrates on Saturday!
Weekly Walks
A number of us are away for a bit, but for those in town, it’s the usual. Weather seems to be cooperating. Not the warmest, but no rain until mid day. L@8

Best wishes to Lynne over there! Looking forward to having you back in the pack!
Ah! The beautiful month of May is a week away. April is protesting its exit by showering us, so is it a pass or raincoats? You decide. At the standard time and place for the latter.
My turn on the 24th.
It’s going to be a very wet week but we might be able to sneak a walk in on Saturday. So far, the forecast looks clear until the afternoon. L@8.
Looking at the forecast, could we have put sub-zero temperatures behind us? Saturday will be cool in the morning but sunny. 😎

We’re starting off damply but perhaps there is a window of dryness this Saturday morning. Good for the garden, as Helen would say. Bring rainwear just in case and we can always beat a hasty retreat to Tim’s. L@8 as usual.

That’s the best word to describe the persistent cold trend we are having. For what the weather lacks in warmth, let’s make up for it with each other’s company this Saturday.
As you may have heard from Helen or myself, we are moving and celebrating with a house “cooling” get together this Saturday. Details were posted in WhatsApp. If you missed it, please reach out directly and we can fill you in.
Winter is not letting go easily, but if the long range view is to be believed (I can hear you, Lynne!), it will get warmer.
Eventually.
Still, Saturday will start off near the freezing mark and creep up a bit, with perhaps some sun peeking through the clouds. Shall we say L@8?
Last week had a moody vibe to it, making for some interesting views.

And you can have coffee after with these nice people.

We might still have to deal with some accumulation leading to our Saturday walk. No time to be complacent about road conditions but we can hope for the best. We will convene at the usual time and place.
Can it be true? Spring!? Let’s be cautious and assume this weekend is a sneak peek. Saturday will be creeping into the mid teens by afternoon. Our morning gathering will be at a balmy 7°C. Come on out of hibernation and join us at L@8.
Two sure fire signs of spring below.

Helen tells me March 1 is meteorological Spring. Although it may not feel or look like it yet, there are subtle signs spring is on its way, like yellowing willow trees. Be on the lookout for snowdrops in the next few weeks. 🤞🏻
Saturday morning may be not bad for our walk. The temperature will be near the freezing mark and if the sun comes out, it could be okay. See you at the usual.
