PATH On Weekdays
A small group followed up the massive snow dump on Monday past with an unusual walk through the PATH on Tuesday (roughly 6.5 km). Compared to weekends, busier but not alarming, and many times we were still the only people in sight. The advantage to weekdays is that the shops open around 9:30 so that could be folded in. Plenty of Tims on route but so far nowhere to sit and enjoy afterwards. As cases drop and restrictions ease (hopefully on the first followed by the second), this could be an alternative on days where conditions are too adverse.

Thanks to Helen for this Harvard Health link to calories consumed; handy for those of us tracking such things. I draw your attention to these lines.

Weekly Walks
Saturday looks has decent weather-wise. It’s only a matter of whether the mid-week thaw that preceded it will leave dangerously icy conditions underfoot. Please check conditions before heading out and make sure to have the right footwear if you do.
I hope to be at Loblaws this morning at 9 am (Sunday)

I have woke up with a bit of a soar throat and I am being cautious and decided not to walk, I am sorry for the last minute cancellation. I feel fine, but rather be on the safer side…

“Thin layer of snow” that disguises ice are the words that strike fear into the heart of this twice broken four times shy person. As we also have a busy day today, we’ll defer to tomorrow after all.

I don’t like the looks of it out there with that thin layer of snow. I’m passing on today. If anyone is interested in walking Sunday I’d do that

Helen and I will be there at 8 as we have plans for later in the morning. The MGT sounds good.

P.S. How many calories for slipping on ice?

The post-slip physio is a calorie burner, but I wouldn’t recommend it for weight loss. 😵💫

I plan to walk from Loblaws at 8:00. Today the Martin Goodman Trail was dry and clear. Hoping that tomorrow it will be the same.
