Weekly Walks
We are entering a bit of a trough for walking, as a few of us are escaping to milder climes for January and/or February. This means it’s even more helpful to let others know if you’ll be out for walks on Saturdays. Weekday walks are even more tricky so if your “pod” is open to it, consider reaching out to the “orphans” and inviting them to join your walks. Maybe even use the WhatApp message group if you want to restrict that info and keep it off the general web.
Summer Camping
Seems odd to bring that up now right? Well that’s because provincial park campgrounds book up to 6 months ahead and fill up quickly. We already have 10 people interested for Presqu’Ile this August. This means we will try to reserve three sites as soon as registration opens in mid March. There is limited space for more so if you’re interested, get in touch with me or Lou-Ann and we can add you to the WhatsApp group as well for pertinent information. We have extra gear if that is a concern.

Ruth, I sent you an e-mail to say I will not be walking at 11:00…the sidewalks here are pretty nasty.

Some of us will be carpooling from our street and heading indoors for the PATH. It’s usually easy to rack up 8K underground.

I’ll watch the comments for Saturday. Tim 2 at 11 works for me. And if the snow doesn’t materialize, Loblaws at 8 (instead or in addition) is good.

Doesn’t look very promising for a walk tomorrow, so I’ll pass. Too bad though.

I probably will not be walking Saturday morning between the rain and snow.
Come February, I’m the orphan for two walks during week.

I just came in and the wind is VERY strong, so I am going to pass on the 8:00 walk…however if anyone is interested – if the weather is co-operative, walk at 11:00 from Tim’s 2. Let me know if this is of interest?

Susan here – I’ll be taking a snow day for the rest of the winter – see you in the spring. Stay warm, upright and safe,

Depending if the project storm actually materializes will determine if I walk or not. Driving conditions may be treacherous. Arlene and I will decide in the morning but indications at this time indicate probably no walk.

Hey there; not sure if I’m an “orphan” or whatever that means for this group, but letting you know that I won’t be walking tomorrow.

“Orphan” means all your usual walking partners are away and you need someone else to walk with.
